Crazy Kids!

All of these pictures require a little explanation!!
We have waaayyy too many stickers so the other night I gave the kids each a piece of paper and hundreds of random stickers and after the paper was full Declan resorted to a new canvas. He had so many stickers stuck all over his chest! Some of them really stuck too! 3 days later he still has a rash where some of them stuck so well!
Declan and Delaney kept talking about the yellow fake guy at swimming lessons and I had no idea what they were talking about. Until today. I look over and Delaney is about 10 feet away hugging the CPR dummy and talking to it! I wish my camera would have caught the moment before she realized I was watching her!
We have already had 5 ripe tomatoes off of our tomato plants! Delaney loves tomatoes and eats them like they are apples! The kids have really loved watching our little planters and their own little plants grow this year!

Bedroom Makeover

A few months back Jason and I finally got around to giving our room a makeover! It only took 7 years to get to it but it was worth the wait because we both love it! I actually took him to see some bedding that I really liked and then found this bedding on clearance that we both loved even more! From there I was full of inspiration for the rest of the room! Thankfully Jason is great at making all my ideas happen, he always ends up doing all the hard work (painting, hanging curtain rods, etc.)! It has been so nice to finally have something more than white walls and honestly the bed gets made a lot more because it just feels good to have it all be put together!!

Laney's New-Do

Delaney got a little a-line haircut this morning. Declan and my sister were both trying to convince me to cut it short. I was hesitant but it looks adorable and she loves it! When Declan first saw her he said that was exactly how he wanted it- who knew a 5-year old boy cared about his sisters hair!!

Pregnancy this time around....

has been AWESOME (imagine that super sarcastic way Ashton Kutcher says it!). The third time has just been so much harder! I have been so much more emotional and feel like it has been way painful. I have had sciatic nerve pain on one side and if I overdue it- which the definition of overdoing it varies day by day, my stomach gets so sore that I can hardly stand up straight. I have not been very friendly this time around either. In fact, my kids have probably taken the worst of my emotions and non-friendliness. Just the other day Declan told me "he liked me better before I was pregnant" when I asked him why he said because I was more playful. Sorry buddy, it will be over soon!

For today, my biggest complaint would have to be....my swollen feet! I don't think the picture does them justice...they are HUGE and so sore! The heat is not helping them at all either! I think a friend of mine said it best when she said it she were ever to update her facebook status it would say "Just cleaned the bathroom and feel like I ran 10 miles!" In fact, after going back and reading her funny post about how she was feeling with her third pregnancy I am convinced that I will actually post this with my true feeling about this pregnancy!

Another thing that has been strange with the third pregnancy and already having a boy and a girl is that there really has not been a lot that I need to prepare or buy! We have put a bassinet in our room but we have not set up the crib yet. I still need to pack a hospital bag and a diaper bag and of course I like my house to be spotless before I actually have the baby! This week I finally got around to washing and putting away all of Delaney's baby clothes and my list of "things to do before the baby comes" is almost complete!

On a different note, I can't believe that my due date is only 10 days away! I will admit that I am not ready to have this baby yet but I am definitely ready and so excited to start feeling normal again. And of course, I can't wait to meet this little girl and see what she is going to look like. We are planning on naming her Dulcie Jacinth (after my sister). I feel so unprepared. Because Delaney was a c-section I don't have any confidence that I actually remember how to go through labor and get this baby here! I really am nervous!

Sewing Projects

I've made a few things for the baby....well I guess they are actually all for me! Sewing isn't the most convenient activity because I have to set it all up and take it all down that same night but it is addicting! As soon as I finish a project I am looking for the next thing to do! I have a few more projects I was wanting to do before the baby comes but not sure I want to deal with it!!
Car Seat Canopy
Small Bag to go in Diaper Bag
Diaper and Wipes Case

Random Summer Pics

We have had a less-busy-than-normal summer this year. We haven't had any vacations planned and we are kind of just hanging out!! It is good to not be sooo busy but I do miss the sense of adventure!
This picture is mostly for my Granny, she hardly ever gets to see a picture of all of her younger grandkids/great grandkids together!
The kids played in the gutters with my little cousins during one of the rainstorms. They had a blast and probably thought they were getting away with something because who lets their kids play in gutters anymore?!
We've spent a lot of time playing in the pool this summer. We bought the kids a big inflatable pool to keep at my Mom's and we've also been over to Grandma Kovach's to play in her little one.
The funniest part about Grandma Kovach's pool (see above) is that even though it is tiny it seems like the kids don't even notice. In fact, a few minutes after this picture was taken we added two more kids to the mix and they still had a blast, and they barely fit!

Kovach Family Camp Out

This year I was a no show for the annual Kovach family camp out. My Dr. had recommended that I don't go and I was having a pretty miserable couple of days so I stayed home and Jason took the kids on his own. I think they may have had more fun (and definitely more freedom) without me there! The camp out evolves every year and is like an adventure camp. Jason and his brothers can't stand to be idle so they are always improving it! The kids highlights of the trip were riding Jason's dirt bike, going to Rifle Falls, riding bicycles and being with their cousins! I did miss out on just being there to experience it all with them but I really did enjoy the time to myself too!
