All Things Pumpkin

A couple of weeks ago we went to the pumpkin patch and picked our own pumpkins right off of the vine. It was fun to see that many pumpkins. Unfortunately, there were about the same number of people/cars as there were pumpkins.

I made the kids these matching pumpkin shirts out of Family Fun magazine. (Love that magazine- lots of great ideas!)

We finally carved our pumpkins last night...it took 3 hours! They were probably the thickest pumpkins I have ever seen! One of them we put a bunch of holes in- a Whack-O-Lantern! Declan, like last year, wasn't so sure about sticking his hands inside of the pumpkin to pull out all the guts but after a little convincing he was over it!

Couldn't help but throw this one in the mix. I love the way she is looking at him!! She really just adores him!!

Fall Fashion Week

Dear Gwammy and Gramps,

Thanks for all of our cute new clothes for the fall. Now we will be the most stylin kids on the block. Mommy had so much fun shopping with you and I had so much fun riding on the carousel. Thanks for lunch too!

Seasons a Changin'

A couple weeks ago we took a drive up to the mountains to see the changing leaves. I thought we were going to be a week too late but we were just in time! It was one of the first really chilly days but we still had a lot of fun. We ended up being up there for almost 5 hours- which resulted in a uber-healthy lunch for Declan...Cheetos and candy. Wow- parents of the year award for us!!

WE DID IT!!!

Today my Mom and I ran our first 5k- the Race for the Cure. We have been training for a couple of months (on and off) (on flat ground) so the hills came as a big surprise to both of us but we did it!! I am so proud of us because there were a couple of times when we both wanted to quit so badly but we pushed through!!
