They never grow up....
Today Declan and I went and had lunch with Jason at a empty office building they were working on. What do you get when you put together 3 boys ranging from 2 to 38, 2200 sq ft of open space and one of those things with wheels that trash cans go on top of? It all started off as a game for Declan but as you can see by the end Declan is not in sight! They never grow up...what fun would it be if they did?

Grand Junction
Declan and I went to my Granny's house in Grand Junction with my parents this last weekend to visit my sister. She is going to BYU Utah so Grand Junction is like the half-way point...it works out perfectly. We had a good time shopping, watching movies and cooking together. We even impressed my Granny with a taste-alike version of the Cafe Rio Pork salad! I'm sure she is going to want to kill me for posting these pictures but since I only took a few there weren't too many choices! Plus, if anyone has seen the way she likes her popcorn (covered in Parmesan cheese) the bottom picture is perfect! Love ya sis!

1. Where did we meet?
On my parents front porch. Okay let me clarify- Jason's brother Brandon and I became friends before Brandon went on his mission and I didn't even know he had a brother named Jason who at the time was on his mission. Well Jason got home from his mission and Brandon said he should take me out and he said no way because I was only 17 and still in high school- apparently he didn't want to rob the cradle but you know that was before he actually met me. So time went by Jason moved to Arizona to live with his sister for 6 months or so and I graduated and went to BYU for the summer semester. We both ended up coming home in August of 2003. Jason's cousin was in a play and his mom had tickets for Jason and a date for October 25th (keep in mind this is still August). He was confident that he would have a date. Well a few days before the play I was out shopping with my mom and when we got home my sister said Jason Kovach called. I figured he was calling to plan something for Brandon's homecoming- nope turns out he needed a date. His mom played a part in all this too. So I had never met Jason until he came to my parents house to pick me up for our first date!
2. What was the 1st thing you said to your spouse?
Probably "hi, I'm Chelsea" when he came to the door- haha!
3. Where was your 1st date?
The country dinner playhouse to see Fiddler on the Roof with his parents and his Aunt and Uncle. I want to throw in here that when he took me home I told my mom that I was going to marry him.
4. Where was your 1st kiss?
Sadly, neither of us remembers exactly where but we do know that it was during our 2nd date which was to a Nuggets game and TGI Fridays for dinner. So it would have to be either of those places.
5. Who said I love you first?
Jason. We had only been dating for like 2 weeks when he told me. We were at my parents house talking and I blurted out something dumb like, "I think I love you too."
6. Long or short courtship and engagement?
Short...first date was Oct 25, 2003...engaged Dec 31, 2003 and married March 27, 2004.
Echo Lake in Idaho Springs. We would drive up to the mountains a lot when we were dating and this kind of became our place. Since it was New Years and freezing the lake was frozen solid and he made me walk out way farther that I ever would have if it had been light outside- I was scared. He got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him and I said, "of course". I knew he had talked to my dad already so you think I would have been prepared with something better than of course!
8. Where were you married?
We were married in the Summit Grove LDS church in Thornton Colorado.
9. How did the reception go?
It was beautiful. My mom is friekin amazing! Everything was fantastic. The food was delicious, the cake was beautiful, the decorations were beyond amazing. Everything was great!
10. Where was the honeymoon?
We drove up to a bed and breakfast place in Grand Junction, CO and stayed there one night and then stayed a couple nights in Glenwood Springs, CO. We went four-wheeling to a whole bunch of different places.
11. If you could have changed anything about your day what would it have been?
The photographer. We hired some lady that was recommended to us and I was so dissapointed with the pictures. We don't even have a front view picture of our cake! There are a lot of things she missed. If I could change anything I would have spent the money and hire someone more professional! Below you'll see the only picture I even have of my lovely cake!
It's so fun to share "our story" and relive it! I love you Jason, you've made me so incredibly happy since the first time I saw you on my parents porch 4 years ago. I love our life together!
If you have a blog and are reading this consider yourself tagged! Happy Valentines Day!!

Today we took advantage of the beautiful weather and Jason's day off and spent some time outside. Declan and I also took Jason to the Childrens Museum so he could see us in action. It seems like on the weekend we always have things we have to go do or family activities planned so it was nice to have some time to just have fun together. Declan sure is a Daddy's boy!
Declan and Brookie
Couldn't resist putting this video on here. It seems I am addicted to the video thing! The cutest thing about this is hearing them giggle! And for those of you who were wondering...when Ramie's leg flies up it's her "good" leg!

Boot Camp
Declan was showing off or should I say working out on Saturday at my parents house. He was practicing his push-ups and jumping jacks. The little comedian was counting- "one, two, three, one hundred". I think he must have learned that from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse because the highest I ever count with him is twenty!

Declan cracks an egg!
Declan and I made a cake together this afternoon. The absolute cutest part was Declan- for the first time ever- cracking two eggs. He did it flawlessly...no shells in the bowl. It was so cute to see his sweet little hands do it so perfectly! Good job Declan!
