Happy Birthday- Four Already!
Declan turned 4 today! Like every body says...I just cannot believe that he is already four! He is so big! I don't feel old enough to have a four year old!
He was so excited about his birthday today! That excitement quickly turned into a bad mood when we told him he couldn't open most of his presents until after dinner. He did get to open one little one and that helped to tide him over. Then he got to go with Daddy to my grandparents house to help with a few things. (Delaney is sick so we skipped out on church...) Anyway, the afternoon rolled around and finally the party could start! I made some really yummy pizzas for dinner since that is, after all, his favorite food. Then finally Declan got to open his presents. A big thanks to our family that made sure that Declan was spoiled on his birthday! A new scooter, some new GeoTrax, some new books, an army boat, some clothes, a dinosaur, and more! And finally, we ate some cake. Not just any cake though- oh no, that just wouldn't do! I made a skateboard cake. Not just a "plain old skateboard cake" though- this was a zebra striped cake! I thought it turned out so cool looking! There are going to be some benefits to being four...just this morning Declan buttoned his own pants which I usually do for him and he said, "I just buttoned my pants by myself, I couldn't do that when I was three." And before he went to bed he said, "Now that I am four I will stay in my bed." Hopefully all these big expectations of being four will stick! Happy Birthday Little Man!

36 Hours in Utah...
What's Up?
A whole lot of nothing! Last week was the most uneventful week we've had since the beginning of summer and it was awesome! There was one little tragedy that slowed us down....
On Labor Day we went to the sprayground with Jason's family for a picnic and Delaney stepped on a hot (HOT) sewer drain thing and burned her feet and hands. Like burned them so bad she couldn't walk and they were blistered. It was frieken scary. I was walking over to get her and when she stepped she immediately fell forward onto her hands and I could just see the change in her face and she started screaming bloody murder. She couldn't have been on it for more than 10 seconds, scary!
